Everyone feels a dip in their fitness motivation sometimes. I’m a group fitness instructor– fitness is my life! And there are still plenty of days when I would rather pull the covers over my head and go back to sleep than do my morning workout. I’m only human after all. 😉
On days like this, I turn to one of these 3 inspiring fitness blogs to keep me going! Fitness blogs are the best for motivation because they show someone else living out their fitness dreams and it makes you want to live yours out with them! My favorite fitness blogs are filled with encouraging energy and movitation, positive body image (super important!), gorgeous pictures, effective workouts, and practical fitness tips! All I have to do is scroll through the home page for a few minutes and I’m up, out of bed, and ready to sweat!
So are you ready for some motivation, inspiration, and all things FITNESS? Let’s jump in!

Fitness on Toast was one of the first fitness blogs I ever followed and it may be my absolute favorite! Believe it or not, this blog actually sparked my interest in becoming a Group Fitness Instructor (you can become one too by following these three easy steps here!) Fitness on Toast was founded by the beautiful Faya Nilsson as an honest place to share fitness motivation and tips. She’s a personal trainer and knows more about fitness than almost anyone! Her blog is a gold mine for fitness gems, such as how to correct your running technique and the top 4 exercises for abs and core strength.
However, the absolute BEST thing Faya’s blog is the gorgeous, breathtaking photos! Every post is filled with photos of beautiful scenes and locations (beaches, meadows, etc), plus photos of Faya herself. Nothing is more inspirational than seeing a gorgeous human being working out in a stunning location. Don’t believe me? Check out this post here and this other one here to see what I mean. The photos are truly what make Fitness on Toast unique– I’ve never seen a fitness blog that has photos like that. Travel blogs maybe, but not fitness blogs. Speaking of travel, Faya has a whole section dedicated to it with a plethora of active escapes and wellness reatreats. This post and this one here are two of my favorites.
If you love Faya as much as I do, you have to check out her book Fit in 3 for more fitness inspiration! The book includes recipes, yoga routines, and workouts. Fitness on Toast is at the top of my list for inspiring fitness blogs to follow!
If you’re serious about fitness and health, Get Healthy U is one of the best fitness blogs to follow! The site was founded by Chris Freytag, a legend in the fitness industry! I first discovered her when I was getting my Group Fitness Certification through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). She’s on their Board of Directors and holds three certifications from them, including group fitness. She was interviewed on several podcasts that I listened to as part of the online certification course and I just loved her energy. She has such a warm and appealing personality– I was drawn to her right away. She’s so positive, down-to-earth, and yes, INSPIRING!
Get Healthy U is one of the best fitness blogs for anyone, no matter what your level of fitness is. There’s something there for everyone and it focuses on a well-rounded, sustainable approach to health. With delicious recipes, happiness tips, and a whole exercise library filled with videos and photos of Chris herself performing the workouts– you’ll never have to leave your computer for the best and healthiest body of your life! There is some paid content on the site, but the majority of it is free (I’ve never paid for anything).
Get Healthy U has so much awesome information, it’s hard to decide where to start! Here are some of my personal favorites. I love the Paleo Pumpkin Pecan Smoothie recipe (perfect for fall!) and 5 Ways to Practice Body Positivity. If you’re looking for an awesome workout, the At-Home Ab Workout is great for your core and the 10-Minute Beginner Tabata Workout will make you sweat!
Chris truly is one of the best and most-respected in the fitness industry. She’s one of my fitness idols and truly one of the greats for fitness motivation! And, if you’re feeling super motivated, you can check out the ACE website for information on how to become a Certified Group Fitness Instructor like Chris and me (receive $100 off the Group Fitness Instructor Pro Advantage Certification by clicking here and using the code GOACEGFI). If you’re a fitness junkie, chances are that you’ve heard of Fit Bottomed Girls. It’s one of the most well-known fitness blogs, but it’s also one of the best, so I figured it was worth a mention.
This incredible blog written by Jennipher Walters and Kristen Seymour has pretty much everything you need to live a happy and healthy life. The blog is filled with tons of fitness inspiration, including an entire section dedicated to fitness motivation (check it out here). The site has workouts, product recommendations, weight loss advice, and much, much more! It even has sections on meditation, parenting, and relationships. It’s the only blog you’ll ever need (except for this one, of course! 😊) Some of my favorite fitness inspiration posts for the site, include Go on a Gratitude Run and 15 Workout Songs We’re Celebrating Our Birthday With.
Don’t forget to check out Jenn and Kristen’s book, The Fit Bottomed Girls Anti-Diet: 10-Minute Fixes to Get the Body You Want and a Life You’ll Love for even more awesome fitness motivation!
So, I’m feeling inspired! Time to start my day with a workout and I hope you’ll join me! 😀 Be sure to visit one of these three inspiring fitness blogs (plus Flaxseeds & Fairytales 😉) anytime you need a boost!
