Body scan meditations are a great way to relax, especially before bed! They involve moving awareness to different areas of the body to consciously relax the muscles and find calm.

What is the purpose of a body scan meditation?
The purpose of a body scan meditation is to achieve mindfulness and calm. It will help you tune into your body and its various sensations to achieve an emotionally calm state. It’s great for relieving stress, eliminating pain, and falling asleep quickly!
A body scan meditation will help you move your attention out of your busy mind and into your body. You will bring your awareness to each part of the body and use that as the anchor for your attention. In meditation, “the anchor” is simply what you choose to focus your attention on.
Just like with other forms of mindfulness meditation, when your mind wanders away from the body, gently bring it back and continue to follow the guidance.
What are the benefits of a Body Scan Meditation?
