Mindfulness in Plain English by Bhante Gunaratana: Mindfulness in Plain English is a straight forward introduction to meditation with step-by-step guidance. Great for beginners!
The Book of Joy by the Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu: The Book of Joy is one of the few books I truly believe everyone should read at least once in their lifetime. Filled with wisdom on every page, this spectacular book details an unprecedented trip the Archbishop took to visit the Dalai Lama and the lessons they learned together. It even has step-by-step meditation practices from the Dalai Lama himself!

Meditation Cushion: A good meditation cushion is a must-have if you’re planning to meditate on the floor. It will protect your back and your knees, so you can meditate comfortably. Check out my favorite one here!
Tibetan Singing Bowl: A Tibetan Singing Bowl is a nice way to add a little sound to your meditation practice. They’re extremely soothing and healing. I usually play mine before and after my meditation practice to center my focus. You can find my favorite one here!
