This delicious Keto Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie is a low carb and guilt-free indulgence! It tastes just like a Reese's peanut butter cup but is filled with healthy fat and nutritious ingredients. You'll love this low carb chocolate peanut butter shake.
Add all ingredients except for garnishes into a high powered blender.
Blend on high for 1 minute until smooth. If the smoothie is too thick, add more almond milk. If it's too thin, add more ice.
Pour smoothie into a glass and top with garnishes. Enjoy immediately!
Make it Paleo- replace peanut butter with almond butter, use 1 tablespoon of honey instead of stevia
Make it Nut Free- replace peanut butter with sunflower butter, replace almond milk with other unsweetened milk
Feel free to experiment with the ratio of chocolate to peanut butter. If it's too "peanut-y" add more cacao powder and if it's too "chocolate-y" add more peanut butter. Adjust one teaspoon at a time until it's perfect for you!
If you're fine with dairy, you can use heavy cream in place of the full fat coconut milk and regular milk in place of the almond milk.
To make this a meal replacement shake, add your favorite chocolate keto protein powder. My favorite is this one here. Please note, this protein powder contains collagen so it isn't vegan.
Separation is natural with canned coconut milk. Shake it up so you can get the best liquid to fat ratio.
If you want even more of a fat bomb, add one tablespoon of coconut oil or an extra tablespoon of MCT oil.
You can replace the stevia with any other low carb sweetener you prefer. Some people don't like stevia because of the aftertaste, but not all stevia is created equal. Different brands taste distinct from each other. I recommend this brand here, which tastes smooth and delicious with no aftertaste!
If you're having trouble finding low carb chocolate peanut butter cups for garnish, you can find them on Amazon here. I couldn't find them at the grocery store so I ordered online.
