Let’s face it. In our day and age, very few of us are getting the 9 hours of deep sleep every night that we deserve. There’s just so much going on in our lives and our minds that it’s hard to wind down for a good night’s sleep! I used to be a super restless sleeper. It took me forever to fall asleep (sometimes 1-2 HOURS) and I would wake up multiple times a night. Then, I discovered guided sleep meditations on YouTube! All of a sudden, I was sleeping like a baby with just 10-15 minutes of sleep meditation every night and a cheap pair of blue light blocking glasses (read more about those here).

Have you ever heard of Yoga Nidra? It’s an ancient practice similar to guided meditation that deeply relaxes the body. This is one of the best guided sleep meditations on YouTube for relaxing the physical body into sleep. This 16 minute guided meditation will help you drift off effortlessly.
3. Chakra Sleep Meditation
I love this guided sleep meditation! The speaker’s voice is sooo soothing and relaxing. This meditation is 35 minutes long, but I’ve actually never heard all of it because I’m ALWAYS ASLEEP BEFORE IT ENDS! That’s how powerful it is. This is a great guided sleep meditation for insomnia.
4. Guided Meditation Body Scan for Sleep and Deep Relaxation
Body scans are a great way to fall asleep quickly and deeply. A body scan meditation is basically just mindfully shifting your attention to different parts of the body and noticing what sensations come up. This guided body scan meditation for deep sleep gets me out of my head and into my body, which is great for those nights when I can’t sleep because of worries occupying my mind. I also love that the background music for this guided sleep meditation video includes the sound of a crackling fire– it’s so calming!

This is another awesome guided sleep meditation for insomnia! It’s an hour long so if you’re in need of a longer meditation, this is a great choice.

This is the guided sleep meditation video I use the most often. It’s 12 minutes, so not too long or too short. The speaker has an extremely comforting voice and the background music puts me in a trance. If you want to fall asleep in under 15 minutes, this is one of the best guided sleep meditations on YouTube hands down!
7. BEDTIME- GUIDED MEDITATIONS for Children- Insomnia-Relaxation
If you’re looking for a guided sleep meditation video for kids, this is one of my favorites! It’s super relaxing and gentle. It’s 53 minutes long, but don’t be surprised if your kids are asleep way before the half an hour mark. And you’ll be asleep too! This is an awesome guided sleep meditation on YouTube that both kids and adults will love.
8. Fall Asleep in Under 20 Minutes
If you’re looking for a guided sleep meditation with a little less guidance and a little more relaxing music, then this is the one for you! This meditation has longer pauses, so you can easily drift off to the beautiful music and peaceful sounds of nature. This is a super high quality recording and one of the best guided sleep meditations on YouTube for falling asleep quickly (under 20 minutes!)

I was a huge fan of bedtime stories when I was a kid, so anything that has a story element always helps me drift off. This is a beautiful meditation that will help you help you drift off into a peaceful sleep. Whenever I do this meditation before bed, I always have beautiful dreams. 😃 It just paints such a relaxing picture. This is a fantastic guided sleep meditation for insomnia and other sleep problems. A super effective 43 minute meditation that could end your sleep issues for good!

Even though this is technically an anxiety relief meditation, I’ve found that it’s actually one of the best sleep meditation videos on YouTube. Many sleep problems are actually caused by anxiety, fear, and worry. If you let go of these stressors right before bed, it can help you sleep much more deeply and peacefully. This relaxing 22 minute meditation will help you release your fears for better sleep and a happier life.
